by | Apr 4, 2023

On February 17, 2023, Lionapex Equipment (Phil.), Inc. (LXP) formally inaugurated its newly constructed Showroom located in Sucat, Parañaque City, Metro Manila.  A simple ceremony was held at the brand-new facility attended by the company’s major stockholders, its employees and staff as well as those of affiliate companies.

Guests from overseas graced the inauguration: Mr. and Mrs. Akio Maruyama (Shinapex Co., Ltd. of Japan), Mr. Roy Tay (representing Lionapex Singapore), Mr, Ryoichi Nitao and Ms. Nattee of Brother Machine Tools Technical Center in Thailand, and Mr. Shintaro Wada of Yukiwa Seiko.  The Sanvictores family, major shareholders of the company, were also in complete attendance.

The Program started at 5:00 PM with a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Messrs. Philip B. Sanvictores, Akio Maruyama, Roy Tay and Raymond C. Sanvictores. This was followed by blessing and dedication rites led by Pastor Gus Lising.  Thereafter, Mr. Philip B. Sanvictores (founding President) formally announced the designation of Mr. Raymond C. Sanvictores as President-CEO of LXP.  He also revealed that the Board had elevated him to the position of Executive Chairman.

At that, the new President delivered his inaugural speech stressing that the new showroom signals a new beginning for the company which was established in 1995. Following his speech, President Raymond Sanvictores led another ribbon cutting ceremony for the Brother Speedio S500Xd1.  Joining him were Messrs. Yutaka Koizumi (Shinapex), Ryoichi Nitao (Brother), Shintaro Wada (Yukiwa) and Jojo Alcid (LXP Operations Manager). Thereupon, Engr. Dennis Montero (LXP Service Manager) powered up the Brother Speedio to demonstrate its main operating features.

Shinapex sent over a grand floral bouquet of large white orchids to adorn the occasion. On the other hand, Brother Industries gave LXP a beautiful cloisonne artwork of Mt. Fuji with flying cranes, while Lionapex Singapore presented a decorative golden orchid plant and Yukiwa Seiko gifted the company with a miniature model of a Samurai headgear.

The guests were then led to the Werco Arcade at the nearby Max’s Sucat compound where a sumptuous buffet spread was prepared. The party was opened by Chairman Philip Sanvictores with a speech where he recounted the beginnings of the company, the difficult challenges that characterized its early days which, he said in hindsight, served to cement his business and personal relationships with his pioneering partners, the late Mr. Hiroyuki Maruyama of Shinapex and Mr. Lewis L. S. Ng of The Lionapex Group.  In response, congratulatory messages were delivered by Mr. Maruyama, Mr. Tay, Mr. Nitao and Mr. Wada.

A highlight of the Program was the surprise birthday greetings for the Chairman, who was to turn 65 the following day (February 18th).  Further, President Raymond paid tribute to his wife Megumi who was present with their four children, to mark their 15th wedding anniversary on the day itself (February 17th).

It was indeed a day of celebration with everyone expressing their gratitude to the Lord for His faithfulness through the years, while committing to trust Him for the new chapter of Lionapex Philippines.
